Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This City now doth, like a garment, wear
The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky;
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.
Never did sun more beautifully steep
In his first splendour, valley, rock, or hill;
Ne'er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep!
The river glideth at his own sweet will:
Dear God! the very houses seem asleep;
And all that mighty heart is lying still!
William Wordsworth

Finally, after much deliberation and encouragement from others,
viannin and I have started a podcast. We have revived "The Quiet Times," a series of mix CDs we started back in late 2002 (which is why the first podcast is actually volume 4).
We're going to post new ones every couple of weeks until we get tired of it or run out of songs (neither of which will happen anytime soon).
Here are the places you can find us.

This is the new journal I've started for posting the mixes. You can download the mp3 links directly from here. I won't be adding anyone back from this account (all posts will be public), but feel free to add it as a friend if you'd like to keep up this way.

Apologies for the layout of this page. I didn't have much control over it. But here you can subscribe directly (by clicking "Add to iTunes") and when new posts are made in
thequiettimes they will pop up in your iTunes library. I just tried and it worked! Wow, so that's what a "podcast" is. I see what the big deal is now. :-)

The earlier links will be more useful, but I am keeping this page up because the URL is in the artwork and also because the tracklists for the earlier editions are posted there for reference.
If you have any suggestions for the casting process I have set up or thoughts on the music itself, let me know.
We should have another one ready to go in a couple of weeks. We will start dropping some random Sleepy Theory and Biblioteca exclusives in there soon also. I'll post reminders here when each new mix is posted if you don't want to deal with bookmarking/adding any new pages.

This journal is friends-only and my friends list is currently quite crowded.
If you've arrived here and wish to be added, leave a comment stating why I should add you, and I will possibly consider it.
